Those were simple questions asked upon being booked in. There was no one who showed any kind of concern about my situation – absolutely no one.

I was never released and it took 18 months to finally talk me into a conviction because I was tired of sitting in county. I was definitely pressured into pleading guilty. I did not commit the crime. I pled out because it seemed like the fastest way to get home. I lost my job, of course, because I was unable to show up. I’m still not home yet.
